Blog Week 10

The article I chose from the New York Times was, Good to Be King in Snake-Eat-Snake World. This article is about different animals and how they adapt to their environments. The King Cobra has the power to kill a human being in about fifteen minutes. The venom from a King Cobra could kill an elephant in just a few hours. I do not know exaclty how this article could relate to me much, but I can state that I have adapted to my environment. Mongoose and Squirrels have grown immune to specific snake venom over time and are tougher prey to catch. I could say that I have adapted to my environment by staying away from the venom in our society. I have never been involved with drugs or any kind of criminal mischief. There are so many things I could have done with my friends, but I am glad I refused. Just the other day I saw a good friend of mine at work. He was my best friend, but things changed when he was getting into high school. He began doing drugs and was involved with the law in a negative way. We slowly stopped talking and I never saw him much. He didnt graduate high school, and the last thing I heard of him was that he was working at a fast food joint with no other options in life but drugs and laziness. I'm glad I grew immune to his stupidity.

Blog Week 8

Preparing for a date is an important thing. Ther are so many things that come into play whenever you go on a date. Things have to be right and especially you have to be on time for the girl if you are a guy and going to pick her up. You want to make sure you are in the shower at a certain time because you are preparing not to have any offensive things on you that might make the other person not like you. You are on a date probably because there is a person that really caught your attention and you want to make things work and get to know a person.

This is a picture of me and my girlfriend on her homecoming dance for Roy High School. This was at my house and it had to be one of the most fun dances I have ever gone to. It is a day I will never forget. I have never really written an essay on us and she is absolutely a big influence on me. I love her to death and I know she is always there for me. We have been together for almost two years, it's insane but i love her more and more each day.

Essay 1 Causes and Effects

In my essay, the day was going absolutely fantastic until alcohol broke loose. There were so many people around and my father began drinking. The reception started and some people began bringing their own alcohol. If the people hadn't brought their alcohol, my father would not have been pressured by others to have a couple of beers. One became another and there too many to count by his chair on the ground below him. The alcohol took over and he was continuing. He was so drunk that he bagan dancing, and then the emotion raged inside of him when he saw my grandpa. He struck in in the face and caused him to fall back. If it wasn't for the alcohol he would have never of hit him, that is a guarantee. If only he wasn't too drunk, if only he didn't have more than one beer, if only people didnt bring alcohol, if only my aunt wasn't having her wedding, if only we didn't go to Mexico, If we would have stayed home.

My Purpose in life.

My purpose in life is probably the same as it is for any other person, and that is to be the best you can be. Everyone wants to be the best at something. Whenever you find yourself, you find what completes you. What makes humans so great is that we think unimagineably. There are so many things possible in a life. The way to see it as is to fight for what you want for everyday. Each day that passes gets you closer to your desires.
I believe that my purpose in life is to help others. I have always wanted to help others and be known to someone. That if someone ever needs help, they can feel safe with me around. I have always wanted to be a Police Officer and that is still my goal. I am majoring in Criminal Justice and hope to one day be on a Police force that will aid people whenever they need it. Yes there are so many ways to help people, but this is where I found myself, and this is how I am going to help people one day.

About Me - Week 1

I'm finally in college. I never thought I would ever reach this far in education. Completing High School and graduating was a big enough thing in my family. I am the first one in my family to be attending college, on both sides of my family. Alot of people are counting on me to make something out of myself. I know I will do my best and I shouldn't let them down. I really need to thank my girlfriend though. She is amazing. She is very very smart and has helped me so much by getting things done. I really need to thank her. I love her, and whenever I look back at my college times, I will think of her and how much she supported me.
